名称由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村民原住地多温泉，又被群山环抱，中间如一只盆，一条溪水从旁流过，称汤盆水，后设汤盆乡，简称汤盆[1]。
建制沿革[edit]
汤盆村一带在1949年后先设汤盆乡，1958年改称汤盆大队，1983年成立汤盆乡政府，1986年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年重设村民委员会，此后名称不变[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网和百度百科所载数字（未注年份），全村103户439人，党员19人、预备党员3人；山林三万多亩，耕地共200亩（水田110亩，旱地90亩），村民主要靠养鱼维持收入[1][2]。村委会没有集体资源，经济基础薄弱[1]。2019年9月，汤盆村进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」之列[1]。
