村前有一条小溪，水源绵长，村名由此而来[1]。
建制沿革[edit]
长溪村一带在1949年后先设长溪乡，1958年改称长溪大队，1983年成立长溪乡政府，1986年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年重设村民委员会，此后名称不变[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载数字（未注年份），全村294户1396人，人均收入2600元，村集体收入不足3万元；山林三万多亩，耕地共1116亩（水田867亩，旱地279亩）。2007年在政府扶持下，修成约3公里水泥硬底化乡村公路。村民以传统水稻种植为主，兼营其他种养业[1]。
