名称由来[edit]
据说村里人人爱好练武，村中建有一座四方形的练武台，村名由此而来[1][2]。
建制沿革[edit]
方武村一带在1949年后先设方武乡，1958年改称方武大队，1983年成立方武乡政府，1986年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年重设村民委员会，此后名称不变[1][2]。国道323线从村旁经过[2]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载数字（未注年份），全村200户797人，耕地630亩，其中水田490亩；山林20000亩。村民收入来自外出务工，以及种植水稻、玉米、果树和杉木，近年以生姜为主要特色产业，成立了种姜协会[1]。2020年8月，方武村入选首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（生姜）；百度百科称村里采用“公司+合作社+农户”的方式，推出“方武姜”品牌并发展深加工[1][2]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，方武村名列「第一批国家森林乡村」；2020年12月，进入「2020年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」之列；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」[1]。村里以“勉腾勉”（瑶语“人帮人”）为主题开展文明实践活动，促进瑶汉互助[2]。
