大桥村是乳源瑶族自治县大桥镇的行政村，村委会驻地在镇域西北部，到县城35公里。村下设7个自然村，共337户、1887人。[1]村名的来历：大桥圩旁有小河流过，河上架有石拱桥，方便赶集的村民往来，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国之初这里是大桥乡，1958年成为大桥大队；大桥乡政府成立于1983年，三年后改称大桥村委会，1989年又叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]

经济[edit]

该村1154亩耕地、4522.5亩山林，种植以水稻、蔬菜为主，玉米、黄烟为辅；2008年村民人均年收入为3993元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村域一带有西京古道乌桐岭段，由古道、乌桐岭官止亭及指路碑、修路碑、修亭碑组成；新书房村的观澜书院建于清乾隆五十八年（1793年），四进四合院，青砖木结构，面积约1500平方米（另有1000平方米之说）。[1]
