明星村为翁源县翁城镇下属行政村，隶属韶关市、广东省，属镇乡结合区[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：当年成立人民公社，本村位于公社驻地的东南方向，因此取名明星[1]。1949年至1957年称明星乡，1958年至1983年称明星大队，1983年起复称乡，1986年改称村委会，1993年至1998年称管理区，1998年改设村民委员会，沿用至今[1][2]。腊岭村于1998年自本村分出[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年5月，明星村被命名为「韶关市2020年市级民主法治村（社区）」；2022年1月，列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年1月，被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
