历史沿革[edit]
村子西南有座石岩，名叫鸡麻石岩，取意让鸡回笼，“笼”与“龙”同音，便写成鸡龙[1]。
新中国成立后称鸡龙乡，1958年为鸡龙大队，1984年复称乡并设村委会，1986年改称管理区，1998年撤管理区、设立村民委员会，原属曲江县[1]。1989年，鸡龙大队分出台滩、八村两个管理区[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2020年5月，鸡龙村被评为「韶关市2020年市级“民主法治村（社区）”」[1]。
