历史沿革[edit]
相传建村之初，村里住的都是谭姓人家，于是叫作谭屋[1]。新中国成立后设谭屋乡，1958年改称谭屋大队，1984年恢复为乡，1986年起先后称村民委员会和管理区，1998年撤管理区，重设村民委员会，名称一直用到现在[1]。该村原属曲江县，2004年随周田镇划归仁化县[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，谭屋村列入「「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」的名单[1]。
