历史沿革[edit]
当地人依灵溪河水流的方向来称呼：河的上游一段是上洞，下游一段是下洞，两段以牛古橼为界，下洞村即在下游[1]。
新中国成立初称下洞乡，1958年为下洞大队，1984年复称乡，1986年设村民委员会，1989年称管理区，1998年撤管理区设村委会，原属曲江县，2004年划入仁化县[1][2]。
