南池村属广州市增城区中新镇，是镇辖的行政村。博雅地名网所载村情记其面积6.7平方千米，耕地约2480亩，户籍人口3080人（650户），流动人口86人，下辖13个自然村、28个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村内含南向和凤池两个片区，各取一字合称“南池”。[1]

南池村的集体组织始于1956年成立的南池高级农业生产合作社。两年后实行人民公社化，村隶属中新公社，当时的生产大队叫南池大队；1959年福和从中新公社划出，村随之改属福和公社。1983年公社改区，大队改称乡，1987年撤乡设村、成立村民委员会，仍归福和镇管辖，2004年福和镇并入中新镇后改属中新镇。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

2009年12月，村里获“零集访村居”称号。[1]

南池村以南池杨桃入选广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
