慈岭村属广州市增城区中新镇，是镇辖的行政村。博雅地名网所载村情记其面积5.4平方千米，耕地约4100亩，户籍人口1523人（361户），流动人口210人，下辖8个自然村、9个村民小组。[1]

村子位于山脚下，故名“慈岭”。[1]

慈岭解放初期属新三区下的一个乡；1956年合作化时并入太阳升高级农业合作社；1958年公社化，设中新公社慈岭大队；1983年改称乡，1987年设慈岭村民委员会，属中新镇。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

村里有文化室2个、休闲广场2个、运动场3个，高埔社道完成硬底化，9个合作社的自来水工程建成通水。[1]

近年建设[edit]

据百度百科，村里还推进了千亩农田建设，并拟征收集体土地，用于轿岭社安置区和新农村示范点的基础设施。[2]
