历史沿革[edit]
村名寄托了对“九约”客家村民团结和气、奋发向上的期望；九约指原隔山乡（今九和）、联丰、集丰、大田、中新以及镇龙镇的大坦、九楼、麦村等地。[1]
九和解放初期属新三区的隔山乡。1955年的梅园、九和、隔山三个初级社，次年合并成九和高级农业合作社；1958年公社化，设九和大队，1962年体制下放时，九和、集丰、隔山各自单立大队。1983年改称乡，1987年设村民委员会，属中新镇。[1]
经济与设施[edit]
村委会在中新镇以南约3公里处，村里设有农家书屋、九和圩娱乐场和水车背篮球场。[1]
经济与古迹[edit]
据百度百科，村内以五金制造业为主，聚集了十余家企业；现存古迹有狮岭庙。2009年新新公路在村境内由双向二车道扩为六车道。九和村也是中新镇“乡村职业经理人”赋能平台十村抱团发展的成员之一。[2]
