历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历是：对面丰湖后岭有座山坟，当地人以埕里的油点灯，叫作「埕光」，后来音转，写成神岗。[1] 清乾隆年间，朱村、横塱两村的人在此建村。[1]
土改时（1951年）村属朱村乡，1956年单独成立神岗高级社，公社化后设神岗大队，隶属中新公社；朱村公社成立后，神岗与南方大队合并为斯庄大队，其后又叫黄塘大队（1966年）、红旗大队（1967年）；1976年再分成斯庄、神岗两个大队，斯庄改属宁西公社。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，神岗村常住居民约1395人，耕地两千多亩，农民年均收入7000多元（2009年）；村内建有国家西电东送工程配套的80万伏输变电站。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
李昴英墓在丰湖山，属宋代古墓葬，2008年12月，被公布为「第七批广州市文物保护单位」，保护范围是墓边线向外10米。[1]
