历史沿革[edit]
相传明洪武年间，先民从清远佛冈三八镇迁来建村。土改时（1951年）归横塱乡，合作化时（1956年）先分设新楼、南岗两个社，公社化后合成南岗大队，隶属中新公社，后转入朱村公社；1983年成为南岗乡，1987年设村民委员会，2004年2月起属朱村街道。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，南岗村户籍居民2250人，另有外来人口800多人，耕地约3500亩，其中水田2650亩，未注明年份。村内设有南岗工业园，到村里办企业的有40多家，先科农业、松田学院也在村的辖区内。[1] 2021年9月，南岗村进入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，品类是增城丝苗米。[1]
