光耀村是广州市增城区增江街道下辖的行政村，在街道东北部，增从高速与增正公路交界处[1]。村名取发展迅速、前途光明之意[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

清康熙年间，始祖陈宏亮于1716年从惠州长宁迁到大步口定居。解放初期这里属一区东屏乡；1956年称光耀社，1958年称光耀大队。1987年1月撤乡改村，称光耀村民委员会，属荔城镇；2004年增江街道成立后改属增江街，沿用至今。[1]

经济与环境[edit]

按村情简介，常住人口685人，分属144户、6个合作社，耕地621亩，种有稻谷、薯类、花生、蔬菜和荔枝、龙眼、乌榄等；2009年全村经济总收入414万元。村内有客家围屋建筑群，西临增江河。[1]

荣誉[edit]

光耀村列入「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」（2024年1月），并在2022年1月被广东省乡村振兴局列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
