黄溪村在行政区划上属从化区太平镇，是该镇的一个行政村，村委会设在镇域西北部。[1] 全村面积约1360亩，下设7个经济社，村委会介绍的人口为1238人、农户230户（该介绍未注明年份）。村委会距从化城区约18公里，距太平镇区约6公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年人民公社化时，称黄溪大队，到1983年12月归入水南乡，到1987年1月改名黄溪村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

荣誉与名单

据村委会介绍，村里的生计是：栽种荔枝、龙眼；水田里种水稻、花生，也有村民外出务工。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的历史建筑与传统风貌建筑推荐线索名单中，列有本村的传统民居群、邓氏宗祠（东）、邓氏宗祠（西）、黄氏宗祠、马氏宗祠，共5处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
