新南村是广州市从化区温泉镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网所载，村域面积约2平方千米，设6个经济社，村民1657多人（未注明年份），村委会离温泉镇政府约17千米。是“一村一品”双壳槐枝荔枝专业生产村。[1]

村民以种植荔枝、蔬果和外出打工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：土地改革时北边有新南乡，南边有南平小学，到组建生产大队时各取一字，合成新南。[1]

此地以前属灌村。其后1958年设立新南大队。1983年12月改设为新南乡。1987年1月更名为新南村民委员会，此后一直如此。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」（2019年9月）。[1]
  • 入选「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（双壳槐枝）」（2020年8月）。[1]
