长沙村位于广州市南沙区西部，在横沥岛东端，东邻蕉门水道，处于上、下横沥水道之间。[1]

名称与历史[edit]

这里是海岸线绵长的滩涂堆积而成，沙质较重，因此叫长沙。新中国成立初期，有几户人家从附近城镇迁来耕种，不断围滩造田，逐渐成村。1956年由中山划入番禺，设长沙大队；1987年建行政村。[1]

概况[edit]

行政面积6.42平方千米，辖长沙、新南两个自然村，分七个村民小组。常住人口2873人，住户676户。2012年，村被列入广州南沙新区的建设规划。[1]2018年，村进入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
