金平长村是肇庆市高要区白诸镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南边，在新兴江北岸，隔江与活道镇的旧宅相对，辖6条自然村[1]。
名称由来[edit]
1956年，金园、平沙、长沙三村合并为一个高级社，各取村名的头一个字，称金平长高级社，村名由此而来[1]。
概况[edit]
村内有635户、1346人，耕地1110亩，集体办有粮食加工厂、茶场、鱼塘，并以种植业为主[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
金平长大队成立于1958年，先归新桥公社，后转到白诸公社。1963年它和白沙大队并成胜利大队，到1971年才又拆开。1983年金平长与白沙合并设白沙乡，1987年撤乡，分设两个村委会；1989年金平长改设管理区，1998年撤管理区，重设村委会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
