前进村位于广州市南沙区横沥镇义沙岛中部，东面是明珠湾区，西面是横沥圩镇。[1]

名称与历史[edit]

村子于1830年围垦成田，原称正丰围；建村时叫“正丰”，到人民公社化时期，因“大跃进”改名“前进”。[1]

概况[edit]

村域约2.5平方千米，耕地约3000亩，作物有甘蔗、包菜、水稻、香蕉。2020年村民3171人，村集体收入95万元，辖区有5家工厂。因城乡建设需要，130多户被拆迁的村民搬进新建的中心村。[1]

该村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单，并被认定为「2024年广州市高质量就业社区（村）」。[1]
