红港村在万顷沙镇西南部，十四涌以北，紧靠洪奇沥水道，是由三个渔业队组成的渔业村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

红港一带于1963年由番禺县围垦公司与围垦指挥部围垦成陆。1971年，潭洲、沙湾区紫坭、东涌区三个渔业队迁来定居，后来依次称红洲、红湾、红汛渔业大队，1973年6月并为红港渔业大队，属新垦人民公社。[1]

新垦区公所设于1984年，三年后撤区设镇，渔业大队改称红港村民委员会；之后新垦镇于2002年并入万顷沙镇，2005年10月起红港村属南沙区。[1]

村名的由来是三个大队的渔民以船为家，渔船停靠在一起，远看像一座红色的渔港。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

2008年全村87户、286人；村有出海渔船45艘，主要用拖网和流刺网作业。[1]

2020年12月，列入2020年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年11月，获「2024年广州市高质量就业社区（村）」认定。[1]
