红江村位于万顷沙镇十四涌，灵新公路以西，是一条渔业村，村民集中住在新垦大道以西十四涌两岸。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
红江村由原大岗公社的渔业队于1972年迁来新垦建成，归新垦人民公社管理；三年后，该队并入红江渔业大队。[1]
1984年新垦区成立，公社取消，红江与红海编为新三乡；1987年撤区设镇后两村分开，红江另设村民委员会。2002年起属万顷沙镇，2005年10月由番禺区改属南沙区。[1]
村名因原大岗渔业队迁来、以捕鱼为生，且方言中「岗」与「江」同音而来。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2008年全村167户、609人，辖区面积1173亩，耕地411亩。收入以渔业和农业为主，商业服务业为辅。[1]
