民兴村位于万顷沙镇三民岛中部，辖区面积4005亩，其中耕地3844亩（2008年数据）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
三村之中，民兴开垦最早，距今约140年，当时叫益安围。[1]
1953年建村，1957年属中山县万顷沙乡，1958年与民建、民立并入沥心沙大队；1959年7月转归番禺，1961年起单列为民兴大队。其后1984年成乡、1987年成立村民委员会，2005年10月起属南沙区。[1]
村名寄托了「人民兴旺」的愿望。[1]
人口与设施[edit]
2008年全村556户，户籍人口2137人。村内有小学、幼儿园各1所，镇人民医院分院1处和综合市场1个。[1]
2017年10月，获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号；2024年11月，获「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」认定。[1]
