民建村在万顷沙镇三民岛（沥心沙岛）东北部，建村约一百年，辖区面积6000亩，其中耕地4600亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
合德丰围是民建最早的围，清末开垦；其后陆续添围永享围、西围仔和东围仔。[1]
1957年，村属中山县万顷沙乡；翌年与民立、民兴并为沥心沙大队，1959年随万顷沙转归番禺县。独立的民建大队设于1961年，1983年改乡，1987年成立村民委员会，2005年10月起由南沙区管辖。[1]
村名取「人民建设家园」之意，并与西面中山市的民众镇形成一组相呼应的名称。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
截至2011年底，全村533户、2117人，主要姓梁、黎、陈、袁。经济以农业为主，种植大蕉、甘蔗和水稻。1990年，沥心沙西侧的细沥一带建起53间香蕉收购站，形成「水上蕉圩」，带动了民建、民兴、民立三村的经济。[1]
2017年10月，获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
