沙尾一村是万顷沙镇的行政村，位于九涌至十一涌之间，东起蕉门水道，西至界河涌。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沙尾一村由清末的均和围发展而来；1977年与1979年又在村子东西两侧的滩涂上围出约0.667平方千米，成了远安围、义和围等。[1]

行政上，村于1954年建立，1959年起归万顷沙公社，称沙尾一大队。改革年代先改为乡（1984年），再设村民委员会（1987年）；南沙区自2005年10月起管辖本村。[1]

名称取自万顷沙东南尽头一带称「大沙尾片」，本村是该片排在最前的村，故名沙尾一村。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网引述的资料，2008年全村1137户、4526人，辖区面积12500亩，耕地13250亩；2011年总人口5178人，其中户籍人口4631人。村民主要姓陈、梁、郭、黄。村内有小学、幼儿园各1所，卫生站和农产品交易市场各1处。[1]

2024年11月，获「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」认定。[1]
