南北台社区在广州市南沙区，数据列于南沙街道，博雅地名网现把它归在港湾街道，代码为440115004003。名称来自虎门西岸的巩固炮台，炮台在道光年间重建后分为南北两台，俗称“南北台”。[1]

巩固炮台[edit]

巩固炮台修在番禺南沙山（俗称芙蓉嶂），经两广总督卢坤、水师提督关天培奏准修建，与上横档岛上的永安台一起扼守虎门西水道。第一次鸦片战争中，炮台被英军破坏；道光二十三年（1843年）重建，分为南北二台。[1]

遗址在1981年7月出土两门重八千斤的大炮，炮身有铭文。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月被广州市住房和城乡建设局确定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」；2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市高质量就业社区（村）」。[1]
