镇龙村是广州市黄埔区新龙镇的行政村，村在镇龙圩（原镇龙镇政府所在地）一带，有13个自然村、33个经济合作社[1]。村名来自镇龙圩，圩因当地的镇龙古庙得名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村的前身是1952年的龙门埔乡；1956年镇龙高级合作社与镇龙乡（大乡）同时建立，管着今镇龙和罗布洞两个片区；1958年改称镇龙大队并入中新公社，1961年随镇龙公社分出，1963年又并回，1976年再度分出[3]。1966年大队曾名红卫大队，1971年复名[3]。1984年公社改区，设镇龙乡，乡府在下境村；1989年起称村委会[3]。此后归属数变：2004年划入增城市中新镇，2005年转到萝岗区九龙镇，2014年黄埔区接管，2019年起隶属新龙镇[3]。

地理与人口[edit]

村总面积4.5平方公里，有山地2600亩、耕地4000亩、林地2800亩、鱼塘近700亩，主要作物是水稻和菜心。博雅地名网载有总人口5418人（所记年份不明），村中主要姓氏为陈、叶、黄、冯[1]。324国道（广汕公路）穿村而过，是九龙大道的起点[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，镇龙村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
