镇龙社区是广州市黄埔区新龙镇下辖的社区，位于镇龙圩一带，社区居委会成立于1989年[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

镇龙社区的前身是50年代末的镇龙居民组，1980年改设居委会，1989年注册为镇龙社区居民委员会，由镇龙镇管辖[1]。其后随镇龙镇划入增城市中新镇（2004年），2005年转到萝岗区九龙镇，2014年归黄埔区，2019年起属新龙镇[1]。

地名由来[edit]

据传宋代时，黄氏先迁入黄竹园，之后陈氏在龙门埔（今上境村）立村；到明代这里形成大埔圩，清代又在此设圩，圩旁有座镇龙古庙，圩名因此叫「镇龙圩」，社区以此得名[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2024年11月，获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」[1]。
