埔心村是广州市黄埔区龙湖街道下辖的行政村，原属白云区九佛镇，2005年8月划归萝岗区，是广州市传统村落[1][2][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

埔心在1954年组成合作社，两年后成了生产大队；1957年曾叫冯背心大队，1962年又称联合社，「文革」时改名新星大队，1971年恢复埔心大队之名。进入八十年代，它是九佛区所辖的埔心乡，1987年1月撤乡设村委会，归白云区九佛镇管。此后随九佛片区的变动，后来行政归属数度变动：2004年并入钟落潭镇，翌年转入萝岗区九龙镇，2014年由黄埔区接管，2019年划给新设的龙湖街道[1]。

地名由来[edit]

相传村民最初住在今向南自然村一带，后来发现自家牲畜、家禽每天都不约而同跑到村西的草埔中央觅食，认为那里宜居，部分村民便迁到这里，把新居取名「埔心」[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

村情材料（约2006年）称，村域约5平方千米，有2519名村民、89名党员，设一个党总支。材料说，村里原先班子不够团结、制度欠缺、卫生较差；划归萝岗区的头一年多里，修了村卫生站，通了自来水到户，翻新了村委办公楼并改造多段村道，2006年农民人均年收入较2005年多出近千元[2]。

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2022年1月，又被广东省乡村振兴局定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年11月获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

在黄埔区公布的历史文化保护对象中，埔心村属广州市传统村落[3]。村中的埔心古建筑群包括汤氏宗祠（清代，五居里街168号）、大王会厅（188号）、经济堂（88号）和庆一汤公祠（138号），属黄埔区区级文物保护单位，2022年划定了建设控制地带[4]。
