历史沿革[edit]
1999年7月，白云区九佛镇设立了九佛社区居委会；其后九佛镇2004年被钟落潭镇合并，2005年8月九佛一带转入萝岗区九龙镇，此后2014年划入黄埔区，2019年归入龙湖街道[1]。
地名由来[edit]
社区以原九佛镇的名称派生得名。相传古时凤凰洞一带的乡民到佛山迎请十尊佛像，返程渡竹料河时遗失了一尊，剩下九尊供在当地的寺庙里，这一带便被称作「九佛」[1]。
