南方村是广州市白云区人和镇最南面的行政村，位于流溪河边，西侧临近机场高速公路，距广州白云国际机场约6公里，全村面积2.3平方千米，有4个自然村、7个经济合作社[1][2]。

地名由来与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子从清河村分出，位于清河村之南，故称南方。1958年公社化时期，南方与清河合称南方大队；1960年代初两村分开；1987年设南方村委会[1]。

经济与农业[edit]

全村耕地1286亩，2009年末本地户籍人口1965人。产业以农业和工业为主：农业是村民自种蔬菜或把农田外包，村内工业园有30多家企业，多租用村里土地和厂房用作仓库[2]。2020年8月，南方村入选广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（蔬菜）[1]。八岭庄的现代设施农业产业园曾以20亩地试种再生稻，是白云区首次试种[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

永隆东路的卓华苏公书舍（清）列入白云区登记保护文物单位[3]。南方村被市评为美丽乡村，村内建有杨桃公园，蚌龙大桥下的滩涂地被改造成花田[2]。南方村在2020年、2021年和2022年连续列入淘宝村名单[1]。2019年入选广东省卫生村名录[1]。
