横沥村是广州市白云区人和镇西南部的行政村，邻近花都区，紧靠广州白云国际机场，太岗路穿过村内，全村面积2平方千米[1]。
地名由来与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，相传此处早先住过几户人家，因官兵烧村而迁走；后来曹、沈、刘、林、陈五姓的先人从鸦湖迁来，见烧毁的遗址上有一座名叫“横沥”的庙，便以此为村名。解放初期属番禺县第七区鸦湖乡；1958年称横沥大队，1966至1967年曾改名东强大队，1984年成立横沥乡，1987年设村委会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
全村耕地1901亩，由2条自然村、16个经济合作社组成；2009年本地户籍人口2450人，工农业总收入4768万元，人均收入8946元，有厂房12间；当年为安置机场第三跑道的拆迁户，征地13.6亩[1]。
