岭头村位于福鼎市区西北部，处在桐山溪与龙山溪上游的狭长地带，与桐城街道、山前街道、贯岭镇和叠石乡接壤。[1]

村名来自古时人们从福鼎前往泰顺须经过的一处山顶。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄建于清代。1986年设村委会，1998年10月起改属桐山街道。[1]

解放战争时期，闽浙边区特委等革命者曾在岭头领导地下党员开展工作。[1]

2022年3月，岭头村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村境内保存有宋明时期的碗窑遗址。北山亭为砖木结构的古路亭，始建于明代中早期，亭后观音殿与之相连，建于清咸丰元年（1851年）。据百度百科，该亭1989年1月被定为福鼎市县级文物；博雅地名网则记北山亭与观音殿同属福鼎市第三批文物。[1][2]

村内另有溪坪石板桥与石丁步。[1]

经济[edit]

因地处城区饮用水保护区范围，村民停止了畜牧业生产，以种植水稻、茶叶、黄栀子与水果为主。近年村里大力种植桂花树。[1]
