岭头村在英山乡东北角，周围群山环绕，北面与浙江省泰顺县相邻，是全乡海拔最高的建制村，距乡政府约7.2公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村前有一条岭，村庄建在岭头，故名岭头。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子平均海拔约700米，一年四季多云雾笼罩，自然条件相对较差，村内林地面积较大。登高可远望，视野开阔。[1]

经济[edit]

村民的收入来自水稻与茶叶，也有太子参、家畜饲养和外出务工；近年村委发展药材种植，并引种乌龙茶与木瓜。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年，岭头有过苏维埃政府。1935年设岭头保，并入富溪镇的联保，1944年取消；1958年成立岭头大队，1984年大队撤销，改设村民委员会。[1]
