田头村位于赤水镇，村落分布在西溪两岸。村名的来历与西溪有关，今天写作田头是用方言的谐音。村里以烟稻轮作、烤烟等种植为主要产业，近年多次获得乡村振兴和一村一品方面的认定。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据传明代这一带溪流平静无浪，村名取「恬涛」，后人用方言读音记作今名。[1]

1934年，村地归宁洋县第一区赤员香联保，其后成为赤员乡与赤水乡的一部分，原称田兜保。1949年后这里叫田兜乡，属宁洋县第一区，1955年归第四区。1956年宁洋县撤销，村地划入漳平县双洋区，成为田龟乡。1957年撤区并乡，1958年设田头大队，隶东风公社。1961年转属赤水公社；1984年改称赤水乡田头村，1995年赤水撤乡设镇，村仍隶属之。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的产业以烟稻轮作和烤烟为主。2024年6月，漳平市将田头村认定为烤烟类「一村一品」专业村；2025年11月，福建省把它确定为烟稻轮作类省级「一村一品」专业村。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」的称号认定给田头村。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2023年12月，村庄入选「龙岩市2023年度乡村振兴示范村镇」名单，2024年2月又成为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[1]
