岭头村位于武平县中堡镇东南部，濒临汀江河，距中堡集镇17公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历与地势有关：村西不远处临汀江，人从江岸登岸后便要上坡，且坡路较长，故称岭头。[3]

民国时这里是上中乡的岭头保。建国后，1952年组建岭头乡，归上中区；1958年以后改为岭头大队，划入中堡公社；1984年，在中堡乡下设立岭头村委会。[2]

2024年1月，岭头村获龙岩市授予2023年度「平安村居（社区）」称号；2023年1月，获授予2022年度同一称号。[1]
