西边村是福建省南平市建瓯市小桥镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东南部，东邻玉山镇，西靠小桥村。村名因村庄座西靠山、位于山的边角而得。全村辖7个自然村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年，此地属小桥八区西边乡；1958年改为小桥公社西边大队；1984年改称现名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

坝头高涯溪一带有成行排列的大小石臼，博雅地名网称，经史料考证其地貌属冰河期遗存。[2]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予西边村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；同年12月，西边村被认定为2021年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄。[1]
