新圩镇位于福建省漳州市华安县中部，地处九龙江北溪中游两岸，镇政府驻新圩村。境内的新圩渡建筑群是省级文物保护单位，历史上这里是北溪一带的水运要地。[1][5]

地名由来[edit]

新圩一带原与良村同属良新乡。民国十二年（1923年）前后，商贩陆续到此盖屋设栈，黄枣圩的商店、客栈和纸行也先后迁来，形成了新的圩场，于是得名“新圩”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立以前，这里是良新乡的治所。1949年和平解放后，旧政权在黄枣村被接管。[3]

1958年，此地先称新星人民公社，次年改名新圩公社。1984年改为新圩乡，1992年经国务院批准撤乡建镇。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于九龙江北溪的两岸，山地与河谷交错，林地和竹林较多。省道漳华线穿镇而过，鹰厦铁路在境内设有溪南坂站。[2][4]

姓氏宗族[edit]

庄氏先人由广东潮州迁来，龙溪县知事庄养德定居于今新圩村一带。方氏始祖聿修公，于明万历四年（1576年）自龙溪崇福社迁来，定居华山，后人繁衍至今四百余年。[4]

邹氏开基者邹智慧在绵治立村，后裔繁衍。蓝氏、雷氏则先后在官畲一带定居。[4]

物产[edit]

坪山柚是本镇的特产，原产于黄枣村的坪山。铁观音茶园分布于华山、官畲等村。[1][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

新圩渡建筑群位于新圩村，以渡口为核心，包括旧船坞、港务站、竖街和横街，以及妈祖宫旧址。渡口以天然岸线为基础，用石块砌成，自唐代起就是北溪中游的水运枢纽，民国时期仍是下游客货运输的起点。[5]

2018年9月，建筑群被列为「福建省第九批省级文物保护单位」。[5]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，新圩镇被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。2024年7月，镇入选「2024年福建省全域生态旅游小镇」名单。[1]
