新联村位于南安市西北部、洪梅镇中部，东面临洪六公路，北面靠玳瑁山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年解放后，村名取自境内四个自然村的不同姓氏联合之意，设为新联乡。[1]

民国年间此地属东园保。1958年改属洪濑公社，成为新联大队。1984年时隶属洪梅乡，设村委会；1991年12月起此地划归洪梅镇，村委会称新联村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的水云洞寺院建于明朝，弘一法师曾在此修行半年。[1]
