锦江村是蚶江镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地北部的沿海突出部，三面临海，东面与蚶江村相接。村名一说来自江边设塾的私塾先生，村民以海上运输和内海捕捞养殖为主要生计。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属安仁乡江阴里，元、明、清时属二十三都。1958年公社化后析出，另设锦江大队，1984年改为锦江村委会。[1][3]

相传古时有一位私塾先生在江边办学，因而把这一带叫作锦江。[1]

元代重修六胜塔的富商凌恢甫即是本村人，他在蚶江的府第被称为五落大厝，清迁界时被毁，原址如今建为民房，留有五落大厝巷的地名。[3]

据2025年8月公布的村情信息，全村外来人口70人，户籍人口2392人；住户647户，村民小组9个，村民代表47人。辖区面积约150亩，耕地约62亩。[2]

经济与生活[edit]

村民主要从事海上船运，以及讨小海、养殖紫菜和鳗苗等内海捕捞养殖。[3][2]
