成平村辖12条自然村，村情材料称它是华侨村，其中常住人口为3013人，华侨同胞有2730人。2015年2月，成平村获中央文明委授予「第四届全国文明村镇」称号。[1]

村委会材料称全村总面积7.14平方千米，耕地3810亩，金沙河水源充足；开阳高速经过村内，离沙湖高速口约1公里，离325国道4公里。[1]
经济[edit]
材料写道，2008年村集体经济的纯收入是58600元，人均收入3830元。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，成平村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，所辖锦富村、三关村、松安村被评为2022年广东省卫生村。成平也在沙湖镇的「百千万工程」典型村名单之中。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
1950至1957年称南金乡，1958年为成平大队，1986年起称村委会，1998年10月起正式定名成平村民委员会。[1]
