岭头村是西洋镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，距西洋集镇约7公里。[1]

村民最初在山岭顶部落居，村名由此而来。2021年11月，岭头村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年8月改设西洋镇时成立了岭头村民委员会，1994年建成办公大楼。此前，该地在明清为永安二十八都的一部分，民国时并入西洋乡。1950年后划入西洋区西洋乡，1958年10月编入西洋人民公社的岭头大队。[1]
