石坑村位于石牌镇东南部，它的南侧连着谢洋乡象山村，北侧挨着上坡村与老厝村。村子东边与盖山村相接，西边靠近武陵乡大石村。全村由5个自然村组成。[1][2]

村庄四周群山环绕，中间是一块小盆地。村子东面接306省道，距泉三高速公路互通口约3公里。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自旧辖的余西坑与石壁坑两个小地名，各取一字合成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属坊都，1940年归大田第一区，1949年划入均溪镇。1950年改属第六区，称石壁乡，1958年归均溪公社，1971年改称红湖公社石坑大队。[1]

1984年乡制恢复后此村列入石牌乡；1997年改制设镇，村委会更名为石牌镇石坑村村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植业为主，产品有生态茶叶、油茶、柑桔等，并种毛竹。村内山地在25度以上的坡地未再开垦。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2012年，石坑村通过省级生态村验收并获命名。[2]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
