横塘村位于鲤南镇中部，北靠鲤南新城，南接东山村，东面与圣泉村相交，西面隔河与象运村对望。村中平原1778亩，山地1万亩，辖六个自然村、二十一个村民小组。[1][3]

村名由来是村落横卧在大池塘边。村东有古洋水库供水站。[1][2]

横塘村旧属孝仁里，境内东屏山古称飞凤山。[2]

人口与交通[edit]

博雅地名网载，全村人口4105人，未注年份。村内南一环路横贴北部，解放南路纵贯东部，西山路连接西部，与仙游汽车站相距约一公里。[1][2]

人物[edit]

画家李霞出自本村。据博雅地名网，他被称为仙游画派开山大师，所作《十八罗汉渡海图》曾获巴拿马博览会金奖。数学家李开泰也是本村人。[2]

文物与古迹[edit]

横塘李霞故居在柴仔尾，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点；横塘李尚芬祠列为第三批县级文物保护单位；郑良士墓在郑墓头山东侧，是第三批县级文物保护单位。[1]

飞凤山上有郑墓宫，博雅地名网称宫内奉祀宋代将帅杨五郞太师，周边四境十八村乡民共同信仰此宫。[2]

村中平地宜种龙眼、烟叶与蔬菜，灌溉水源丰足，离县城近，适合发展瓜果种植。[2]
