东兴村的村名由东蔡自然村和万兴亭各取一字组合而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

文革期间，村曾改称东沁大队。解放后，1955年属北高区，1961年属前沁公社万兴东蔡大队，1965年属东峤公社。1966年，万兴、东芳两个大队合并，称东风大队。1985年属东峤镇。[1]
