长岭村位于华亭镇南部，地处城厢区南部边缘，与仙游县郊尾镇的长岭村相邻，两面临山，距镇政府约13公里。[1]

村名来自福厦公路经过的莆仙交界处一段长山岭路。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：福厦公路经过莆仙交界处，那里有一段长山岭路，村因此得名。清代以前此地属兴化府。[1]

1961年属长岭大队；1984年12月改设华亭乡长岭村；1986年隶属莆田县华亭镇；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村分为长岭、加头、旧在、桥头、奎山、长里溪六个自然村，各村较为分散。村中耕地、山地与果杂地俱全，以农业为主，长岭龙眼是主要果品。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，村庄入选国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单；2020年12月，列入「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]

2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
