岭头村位于塘前乡南部的山区，离永泰县城约38公里，管辖12个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

往昔从村外到塘前只有一条狭长的山岭小路，村庄正在岭头附近，因此得名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

属中山丘陵地形，平均海拔380米，林地广阔，经济作物主要是枇杷、橄榄与柑橘。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村在清代时属丰和乡永安里二都，其后1915年至1935年归东区管辖。1958年划入城关公社，设大樟管理区下的岭头生产大队；1961年归葛岭公社，1978年归塘前人民公社，1984年起设岭头村民委员会，隶属塘前乡。[1]

2019年12月，本村列入国家林业和草原局发布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单。2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定，本村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，本村获命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
