东边村在琯头镇东部，东侧依龙田山，西侧临104国道，北面经琯头岭隧道与连江相通，距连江城约4公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

元朝时，陈、徐两姓先后迁来，居于今满山下彝下一带，称厝埕里；明朝时迁至现址。[3]

早期属东边大队，文化大革命后称东边革委会，1984年9月1日起定名东边村委会。[3]

地名[edit]

因位于琯头镇的东边，村名由此而来。[4]

名胜[edit]

村中有象龙寺，保安寺据称是明朝旧寺。[2]
