大元村位于甘蔗街道。据博雅地名网，程氏先祖在宋代（1012年）前迁居此地，后人在村中修建北极真武殿玄帝公庙以求福佑子孙，村名与之有关。[1]

1984年成立大元村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

大元村先后于2020年、2021年和2022年入选「淘宝村」名单，名单分别由阿里研究院，以及南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院发布。[1]
