中兴社区位于杭州市滨江区长河街道东北部，北靠钱塘江，南至江南大道，2004年9月设立。社区因中兴花园住宅区而得名，单位与居民混居，属地缘型社区。[1][2]

社区于2004年9月始建，名称取自中兴花园住宅区，居委会驻在该小区内。[1]
