尚田村是梅州市蕉岭县南礤镇东北部的行政村，面积7.94平方千米，耕地444.88亩，辖5个村民小组，121户、455人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。^[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传村子建在山洪冲积出的地方，后人开垦成田。从前公王树下有一道较大的堤堵住山洪，附近约0.013平方千米的农田常被水淹，人称「水涨田」，客家话音近「水尚田」，后来简称尚田。博雅地名网的另一段村情说，唐代已成村，河道在村边弯曲，大雨时河水漫田，因此叫水涨田村。^[1]

烟叶是主要经济作物，小水电、林木、烤烟和名贵树木是集体收入的来源；上一年农村经济总收入202万元。^[1]

尚田在1950年叫水尚田村，属北磜乡。1959年起为梅东公社的尚田生产大队，1961年归北磜公社。1983年北磜区设立，尚田与岭背并为岭田乡，岭田村委会的名称用到1987年之后，1990年尚田单立管理区，1999年起恢复村委会之称。2004年北磜镇撤销，尚田归南磜镇。^[1]

2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单上有尚田村。^[1]
